AUI to 10BaseFL(ST) Media Converter for fiber optic cable

The Ethernet transceivers are Attachment Unit Interfaces (AUI) for quick and easy attachment to all types of Ethernet cables. All have an AUI connector for connection to a host. Ultra-small, models DE-851, DE-853 and DE-854 can directly attach to the host's AUI connector, dispensing users of the cumbersome AUI cable and the extra cost. The DE-854 has 1 ST and 1 AUI, and is useful for connecting a small workgroup to a main network. It conveniently connects a small cluster of stations on the coaxial cable to a 10BASE-T concentrator, saving the cost of an extra repeater. Collision detection and full diagnostic LED's are provided.
