Heat and pressure applied to Fargo's Polyguard Overlam make the finished card virtually tamperproof; Fargo's Polyguard Laminates' 0.6 mil thick surface guarantees long life for cards that must be subjected to repeated swipes through magnetic stripe readers. Fargo 81783 Polyguard Overlaminate can be used on cards containing both magnetic stripes and embedded smart chips. Application of PolyGuard overlaminate to printed cards takes from 20 to 40 seconds, and leaves an approximately 3mm wide unlaminated edge around the card's edges.
